Hi.

My name is Derek Clark and I work as a self-employed evangelist for OutreachUK.

I work for a number of churches within Surrey and surrounding area where I go door to door, trying to promote the local churches, chatting to people, building relationships giving practical help and prayer and talking to people about the most important subject in the whole universe – how to enter into/maintain a life changing relationship with Jesus.

I really feel God blessing me through this work and Praise God as he uses me to be a listening ear, to give comfort, encouragement and hope to the lonely, to pray for the troubled and sick answering questions and generally attempting to shine the love of Jesus into their lives.

I take various items of literature with me, including the “Good News NewsPaper” and have other tracts, booklets, DVD’s etc.. available as and when required. The strategy then is to go back again every 3-4 months gradually building relationships, quite often its only after 2 or 3 visits that any meaningful conversation takes place.

At the moment I do this work 3 days a week and I am looking to expand to full time. I am financed by some of the churches that I visit for, by individuals, and charities. At present I supplement this work by working two days a week as a self employed decorator.
